learning without dealing with interpersonal tensions is to run a race with sharp pebbles in your sneakers.”

need for teambuilding.”

Magic #11In a circle students hold out a clenched fist. Teammates will pump their fist up and down three times while counting one…two…three. On three each student will hold out any number of fingers on their hand. The team goal is when the fingers are added together they reach the magic number (11). There cannot be any discussions or talking within the team other than the counting. Once teams have achieved the goal pick a new number and try again.

Cooperative Blind PicturesEach student has a piece of paper and, with eyes closed, draws the frame of a house. They all pass the paper to the person on their left within the team. Next, they draw a window, still with eyes closed. The paper is passed and the door is drawn. Finally, the chimney is placed on the house.

“Teambuilding is an investment. Some people invest in stocks, bonds commodities, or real estate in hopes of becoming rich. With teambuilding, we invest in our students. And

that’s never a poor investment!”
