The Quiet Night

The sun goes down. The moon comes out.The quiet night comes.Lights go out in houses. The night sleepsNo sound to be heardOnly the sound of hooting.

In quiet time,The moon shinesOver the dreaming kids,Dreaming good dreams. The town is asleep now.Animals come outTo have a party.

Winter Snow

Winter snow so white and dear.Prancing over the snow is a deer.Running toward me, I tremble with fear.I hear the footsteps, louder and louder they get.I’m still in fear, a tear drips from my eye.

Out in the Garden

Out in the gardenWhere butterflies fly,Not one cloud I can seeUp in the sky.Out in the gardenWhere fruits and flowers grow,The sky, like a river,Where the clouds will flow.Out in the garden

Sitting by the streamThe sun’s lightIs shining lightShaped like a beacon.Out in the gardenWhere butterflies fly,I look up and seeClouds so high.

The ice came growingAs the night began to blow. You may have fearedThat something was weird‘Cause everything has a beard.Sticking on the wall are hairsThat could have been a beardInside the house were weird faces furredOn the window were bugs that are nerdsFor having a big, big beard.
