This week's theme is dinosaurs! I know everyone is going to love it! There are so many different activities you can do and things to find out. Here are your activity ideas to go along with the theme. Feel free to make up your own though! Firstly, this website is a fantastic resource to find out about lots of different dinosaurs! Can you find out about one you haven’t heard of before? https://www.dkfindout.com/uk/dinosaurs-and-prehistoric-life/dinosaurs/ Can you create your own dinosaur Top Trumps cards and play with your family? Design and create your own dinosaur. Is it a herbivore or carnivore? Is it armour plated? Can it fly? Create a dinosaur mask or headdress. Go on a virtual tour of the natural history museum. Follow the links to explore a dino dig and even a 3D model of Dippy the dinosaur’s skull! https://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit/virtual-museum.html Find out how big dinosaurs really were! Measure out on a floor a dinosaur footprint e.g. T-Rex 1m by 46 cm. Make the area look like a footprint- mark the edges with string or even lego blocks! How many of your footprints would fit inside? How many of your family footprints can you fit inside? What would you find in a dinosaur’s lair? Make a list/ draw a picture/ make a dinosaur’s lair using junk modelling materials or lego. You could even make your own junk model dinosaur to live there!
