It started on June 11, 1991, when Jayne stepped into her first office, which she shared with two others, and began answering phones, designing the Sunday Order of Worship, and performing other tasks the elders threw her way. Jayne recalls, "There were so few of us on staff at first, that we all did whatever needed to be done." With time, she even earned a reputation for making a trip or two to the boiler room to turn on the AC! And since that first day, Jayne has created well over 1,040 Orders of Worship for our Sunday, Christmas, Holy Week, Vespers, memorial, concert series, pastor ordinations/installations, and missionary commissioning services—a testimony of her faithfulness to the PCPC family. With time, the Chancel Choir has considered Jayne their "mother" because of her nurture and concern for each member, which numbered twelve at the first rehearsal in 1991. Jayne remembers, "I prepared 80 folders and 12 people came, but we were so excited." Her enthusiasm stemmed from her conviction choir members were not just singers but worship leaders. Jayne also led in the mission field. After the fall of the Soviet Union, she traveled to Moscow in 1992 as part of a short-term mission trip. With interpreter Sergei at hand, Jayne and her team went door-to-door witnessing and saw a retired KGB general, along with his family, trust Christ. Truly, Jayne could sing her favorite hymn "O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus"—especially the part that still chokes her up: "O the deep, deep love of Jesus! 'Tis a heav'n of heav'ns to me; and it lifts me up to glory, for it lifts me up to thee." Jeff Barber adds, "It is really fun to celebrate Jayne Bjork's 20th anniversary as a staff member at PCPC. She is the first to achieve this milestone. We celebrated PCPC's 20th anniversary in May, so this reminds us that Jayne has been a part of PCPC's ministry since the beginning. Jayne serves faithfully with Colin Howland and the rest of our worship team covering many bases, probably the most obvious being the production of our weekly order of worship. Jayne is a shining example of one who not only fulfills her responsibilities with excellence, but also goes about her work in a joyful, Christ-like manner. Jayne is truly a joy to have as a long-standing member of PCPC's ministry team." "Awesome—it's been an awesome ride," is how Jayne Bjork describes what it's been like to work at PCPC these past twenty years. It started

School clothes neededESL/Urban Ministries is collecting gently used coats, shoes, and school clothing for both children and adults. Parking lot noticeFor years, our neighbors at the Shops of Highland Park have graciously shared their lower parking area with the church congregation to help accommodate our parking needs. They look forward to many more years of happily sharing this parking area with the church congregation for Sunday morning services. However, we have noticed recently that there has been an increase in demand for parking space during the week and in the evening from the Shops' customers and tenants. Therefore, we have decided the neighborly thing to do is to ask our members and guests to please refrain from parking anywhere on the Shops of Highland Park property except during Sunday morning services times. We feel doing this will help our neighbor best meet the needs of its customers and tenants.

College Ministry Zambia mission tripThe PCPC College Ministry is planning a mission trip to Lusaka, Zambia, to bring the love of Christ to the children of Africa. We hope to take 20 college students as we partner with Arise Africa to help run a kids' Bible camp and build part of a school. The dates of the trip are Thursday, December 29–Sunday, January 8. There is an optional side trip to Victoria Falls that would extend the length of the trip by two days. Because space is limited, we are asking college students to fill out an application and meet for an interview.
