These are the specific days and times I can use my library. The library is closed on
some holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This is a library card.
Having a library card lets me check out things like books, DVDs, CDs, movies, and
music. There are rules about getting and using a library card. A librarian can provide
me with more information about getting and using my library card.
• These are some things not allowed at the library:– Eating food– Being too loud and disrupting others– Running– Damaging library property
• One of the most important rules in the Children’s Room is the Unattended Children Policy
– This rule exists to protect children– Children under the age of 8 have to be supervised at all times by their
caregiver– The library staff does not assume responsibility for unattended children
My library has rules.
I need to pay attention to library rules that may prevent me from eating, drinking,
and sleeping. My library is here for the community so I always need to be
considerate of other people at the library.
This is the entrance to my library.
This is the entrance to my library. There are stairs to the entrance. There is also a
ramp for people with mobile disabilities.
This is the Circulation Desk at my library.
Welcome! This desk is the first thing you see when you enter the library. This is
where I can check out books and other library materials to take home. I can also ask
for help at this desk.

These stairs lead to the Children’s Room. They are on the left when you first enter
the library. I can also use the elevator if I need to. The elevator is to the right of the
stairs.

My children’s librarian, Miss Nicole, plans library programs, develops the children’s
collection of books and other materials, and manages the Children’s Room staff.
She also leads Sensory Storytime. She can help if I have any problems at the
library.

This is how I find a book at my library.
I can look for books in my library’s computerized catalog. I can search by title, author,
or subject. I can do this on computers at the library or from home. I can always ask a
librarian for help if I can’t find what I need.
These are the computers I can use at my
library.
I can use these computers to do homework, browse the internet, or play games.
This is the coloring table at my library.
I can sit here to color, draw, read, or do homework. There are coloring books and
crayons on the table. There are more coloring sheets and blank paper at the desk.
This is the play area at my library.
I can use this area to play. There are toys, puzzles, and games I can play with. I can
play pretend with dress up clothes or put on a puppet show with the puppet theater.
When I am finished playing, I put the toys away so the play area is tidy.
This is where the bathrooms are at my library.
This is where I can go if I need to use the bathroom. There are two bathrooms in the
Children’s Room. There are more bathrooms upstairs.
