Thinking through Medical Ethics Humanities This WAO seeks to develop understanding, analysis and evaluation of issues within medical ethics. It should enable you to critically reflect on complex issues which involve aspects of medical, legal and ethical understanding. You will be able to evaluate important medical developments and assess these in the light of relevant laws applicable in the UK and elsewhere. In addition, you will explore religious and ethical viewpoints on these issues. Skills Focus Learning Intentions Success Criteria I will: reflect upon and analyse fundamental issues surrounding what it means to be human and use immediate and relevant contexts to examine complex medical issues relating to the beginning of life, the prolongation of life and the ending of life. I can: identify and describe religious and ethical issues associated with medical issues relating to the beginning of life, the prolongation of life and the ending of life. present reasoned and coherent descriptions of the religious and ethical viewpoints drawing upon the medical and legal background. Thinking through Medical EthicsHumanities

This WAO seeks to develop understanding, analysis and evaluation of issues within medicalethics. It should enable you to critically reflect on complex issues which involve aspects ofmedical, legal and ethical understanding. You will be able to evaluate important medicaldevelopments and assess these in the light of relevant laws applicable in the UK andelsewhere.
