ABOUT MOHENJO-DARO

Mohenjo-Daro was one of the largest city settlement of the Indus valley civilization of south Asia.

It is in province of Sindh, Pakistan. The city was built around 2600 BC. It was one of the early urban settlements in the world. Mohenjo-Daro existed at the same time as the civilizations of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Greece.

By passing from somewhere ancient sites or by seeing the ruins of something, the poet starts thinking about Mohenjo- daro and other such ancient civilizations of Alexandria and Rome. That are now become the past. Poet here notice that how time passes very quickly and never stops. Time changes its colors very quickly, turn its sides just with the blink of eye like an Acrobat ( a gymnastic player). There was a time when these cities were fill with the life and was at their peak of success and fame. But as time is very cruel it took turn and change that shining diamonds into dust. After hunted by the time now they are just symbol of admonition.

ANALYSIS…………

The sun , it is also very old. It is here from the very first day of creation and has been observing each and everything that is happening in the world. But this year it also seems change as he is playing with the feelings of farmer as this year the harvesting of crops is late and all the living necessities and need of life of a farmer depends on the harvesting of crops. This change in the sun is also because of time. As time effects all the things and never desist to hunt.

ANALYSIS……

As the time passes so speedily and changes the things into the past just in seconds. Everything that happened, or that is happening within the time it is going toward its end and the time came when it will totally vanished. Like poet says here that while the writing of the poem, the ink he is using to write the words is drying slowly on the page. He says that I don’t know who will read this poem. Here it means that whatever the new things are invented or discovering no one know who will use them. Like others time will also pouring us away and perhaps when we will passing from some ruins it was our home in past.
