Purpose

The purpose of this trip is to provide students with a unique chance to dive deep into a study of Germany and the importance of transatlantic relations. Through a home-stay experience, attending a Germany high school, and cultural excursions in several German cities, students will gain a clear perspective of Germany’s life and culture.

ItineraryTrip Dates: Saturday 22 February to Sunday 2 March

February 22nd: Depart New York or Boston for Germany

February 23rd: Arrive in Düsseldorf or Frankfurt and travel to Hagen

February 23rd to February 25th: Home-stays in Hagen

February 24th and February 25th: Attend morning classes at the Hildegardis School and engage in an afternoon excursion both days to Cologne and Münster.

February 26th to February 28th: Depart for Berlin with students and teachers from Hildegardis. Engage in a three day investigation of Berlin.

March 1st: Return to Hagen.

March 2nd: Return to the United States.
