Things to do in Banff with Kids

Introduction

Banff is a magnificent wonderland when seen through the eyes of a child, and it's the ideal excursion for anyone looking to experience the best treks in the Canadian Rockies.

Your children will enjoy walking in the untamed woodlands, dipping their toes in our cool lakes, before watching the sun set from this unspoiled mountain getaway.

Take a hike with the kids on a kid-friendly trail.

Tunnel Mountain's simple switchbacks, Johnston Canyon's stroller-friendly concrete roads, and Sunshine Meadows' tranquilly are all worth visiting with young children.

The Fenland Loop is a fantastic walk for the whole family because it is level, has river vistas, and takes less than an hour to complete in one go.

Horse around on a guided family-friendly ride

It's lovely to be able to explore our camp sites without having to wander about when your children might get tired.

While you photograph the lovely scenery of Banff, don't forget to capture the special moments between you and your family, this is where memories are created that last a lifetime.

A winter sleigh ride or a summer carriage ride to a steak barbecue is a lovely way for you and your children to discover Banff and create memorable experiences

Trek to Sulphur Mountain's peak.

One of our most popular and beautiful hiking spots, Sulphur Mountain stands two thousand meters above sea level, providing breathtaking views with good exercise.

Make sure your children are dressed warmly because it gets much cooler as you approach the mountain's summit.

The stunning scenery from the summit will give you a feeling of the enormity of this massive mountain range.

Sunshine Village, which is close by, offers skiing.

Sunshine Village is well-designed for families, with the village clearly visible from each slope, you can let your children play together without any of the grownups

There is a top-notch skiing school there, so you may want to book some lesson time for your kids to improve their techniques.

Banff is a fantastic spot for hiking and exploring with kids.

Children learn about ecosystems and plant life, as well as seasons and weather, in a way that goes far beyond what can be learnt in a textbook or a classroom.
