TODOR KOBAKOV Blend the classically infused history of Eastern Europe with the experimental edge of Canadian indie rock and you have before you Todor Kobakov: composer, producer and missionary of genius gadgetry.

Todor's eighth feature film score (his first of 2013) is for the upcoming dark thriller SOLO,

starring Annie Clark of Degrassi: Next Generation. In 2012, Todor worked with Canadian director David Weaver on THE SAMARITAN - a crime thriller featuring Samuel L.. Jackson, for which Todor's score received high praise from Variety Magazine, which declared it "the kind of spare, smart, piano-based score that works so well because there's so little of it; Hollywood composers take note".

A key player in Toronto's indie music scene, Todor is the "go to" arranger and keyboardist for Metric, Stars, Emily Haines, k-os, and Small Sins and was recently in the studio with Epic recording artist Sara Bareilles working on arrangements for her upcoming album.

Todor's solo piano debut, “Pop Music”, was released in 2010 to glowing critical acclaim ("A piano stylist in the gorgeous, whimsical form of Erik Satie" - Globe and Mail). A modern twist on classical form, the album's guest vocalists include TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe and Metric's Emily Haines.

Todor's musical influences include Debussy, Amon Tobin and The Muppet Show. For more information, visit todor.ca.
