Siva's Vision for NCCT:
Siva’s vision for the NCCT is to organize Canadian-Tamils on a democratic, cooperative basis for Canadian-Tamil interests, and advancing the interestsof the entire community. He also wants to provide a common frameworkwithin which Canadian-Tamils can communicate, exchange information, and share expertise, skills and ideas. It is important for Siva to ensure theeffective use and distribution of the resources of the Canadian-Tamil com-munity and to bring Canadian-Tamils together to discuss and co-operativelyachieve necessary political, social, and economic change wherever decision-making affects Canadian-Tamils. He also wants to facilitate co-operationamong Canadian-Tamils in organizing services which supplement the politi-cal, social and economic experience and provide for human needs thatdevelop a sense of community with our peers and with other members ofsociety. Siva understands that in order to strengthen the voices and aspira-tions of the Tamils in our homeland, we must be strong as a community inCanada as well. Through coordination, cooperation, and commitment, theNCCT will be capable of providing for a higher-standard of living for allCanadian-Tamils as well as putting the community in a better position toadvocate for and help alleviate the suffering of our brethren in our home-land.
