Players of all ages are improving their rugby skills and enjoying successful games, festivals and tours. Proud supporters line the edge of the fields adding great support and energy. What we know for sure is that the spirit of Mighty Chobham begins with our brilliant army of Chobham volunteers. Directing traffic, raising money, accounts, arranging fixtures, preparing grounds, clubhouse maintenance, catering, coaching, refereeing, first aid, putting up tents and packing them away, manning stalls, filling in forms, opening the shop....the list is endless! That's someone's Mum, Dad or family helping to make Chobham Rugby a great experience for all members and players. Club President Nigel Heslop comments, "Our heartfelt thanks to each and every volunteer, you are all valued and your efforts are appreciated. We encourage everyone to get involved, many hands make light work and as we grow in scale and success, it is our volunteers who will shape the future and will help us to achieve our vision of community rugby at its best." We are as ever sincerely appreciative of all of our sponsors and wish everyone a very happy Easter. Go Mighty Chobham! THERE'S A SPRING IN OUR STEP AT CHOBHAM RUGBY
As the first buds of Spring appear there's so much to celebrate and be proud of, both on and off the
rugby field. Players of all ages are improving their rugby skills and enjoying successful games, festivals
and tours. Proud supporters line the edge of the fields adding great support and energy.
What we know for sure is that the spirit of Mighty Chobham begins with our brilliant army of Chobham
2014/15 has been a very successful year so far for Chobham Rugby outreach. Liam Cranford reports that
we have already had around 1200 children take part during the school day through our taster sessions or
PPA cover and roughly 200 children have enjoyed our afterschool tag rugby clubs, 2 great half term rugby
camps. More than 300 plus children took part in our annual tag festival! We also continue to provide
support to the local secondary schools and Woking College. With the Rugby World Cup edging closer it’s
important that we continue to spread the good word of Chobham and help support the growth of the
rugby in the community. As always this could not have been made possible if it wasn’t for our
tremendous, hardworking community manager Liam Cranford and coaches – Ollie Smith, Callum Edwards,
Sam King and Sam Crook.

MinisChairman Ian Woodley echoed everyone's heartfelt appreciation, saying, “Congratulations to the TourCommittee for organising such a brilliant tour, well done to everyone involved."
