PRE-K

The Pre-K students had a great deal of fun this week! They were on stage for the first time and sang the most beautiful song called, ‘Snowflake’ The focus for the last two weeks was winter. They continued to buy winter and patterned items from their ‘shop’ in class, enjoying the role of the cashier the most. The Pre-K’s had the opportunity to make penguins and snowflakes, as well as their own ‘huge’ snowman made out of boxes! They even added a real carrot for its nose! The Pre-K’s painted using shaving cream and glue – to create the effect of snow- and created either a day time or night time snowman. The week ended on a high as the two classes combined to celebrate the end of their first Semester at school with a winter themed party.

KG1

The KG1 children have had lots of fun this winter in their winter wonderland. They have had the opportunity to dress up for the winter in hats, scarves and gloves and have even played with some snow. Each class has had a Winter Wonderland in the role play corner where the children have enjoyed pretending it is cold. The children enjoyed making their own snowman for the winter concert and were excited to sing and dance songs in Arabic, French and English for the Mums and Dads.

KG2

For the Winter Concert KG2 performed ‘The Sugar Plum Fairy Dance’ beautifully and looked so smart on the stage. They also designed and decorated their colorful snowmen puppets to accompany the French song for the concert.

This week, in keeping with the festive season the children decorated festive biscuits which were sold at the Winter Market to raise money for charity. Thank you so much to all the parents who baked and donated generously to this project.

Happy holidays!!

GRADE 1

Grade 1 set up the Lucky Dip stall. Dipping a hand into the barrel of sawdust to find the hidden present proved very popular with the younger children! We made quite a lot of money too, as some children came back for more!!! Thank you to the mums who helped...we couldn't have done it without you!

The children also sang wonderfully at the Winter Concert! We hope you all enjoyed it!
