What is a triad?Triads are the fundamental sonority of tonal harmony.Composed of three notesBottom note is the Root.Middle note is the 3rd.Top note is 5th.Example : C,EG is a triad.C is the root, E is the 3rd, G is the 5th.

How do you build triads?

Major triad=Major 3rd with minor 3rd stacked on top. CEG would be a major triad. Minor Triad is minor 3rd with a Major 3rd stacked on top.
