The Milly Magpie Term 3 | Week 2 24 th July 2020 ATTENDANCE (Term 3 to date): 87.7% I AM SAFE I AM RESPECTFUL I AM A LEARNER Semester 1 report cards Report cards will be issued home to families on Friday, 24 th July (Week 2, Term 3). All subject areas will appear on your child’s report except for HASS (Humanities & Social Sciences). Parent/teacher interviews will not take place this semester; however, your child’s teacher may contact you with information about your child’s learning progress this semester. Our students have worked hard this semester under very trying circumstances (due to COVID-19). Please take the time to discuss your child’s report card with them – to both celebrate their successes and to talk about the next steps in their individual learning growth. Congratulations to our students for the great effort they have shown during Semester 1. Positive Behaviour for Learning Millchester is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school. We explicitly teach our three school expectations to all students, every day. Our PBL Team, consisting of the Principal and classroom teachers, develop our fortnightly focuses based on data collected in our classrooms and playground. Our intent is to take a positive approach to the teaching of our key messages and provide support to individual students as required. Our school’s Behaviour Management Plan supports our work and provides a framework for managing behaviour incidents as they arise. This fortnight’s PBL focus messages are displayed in this newsletter. Please take the time to discuss these messages with your child and celebrate the positive behaviour choices they make. Thursdays, 9:00 – 10:30am! Thank you for ordering donuts! Our school Donut Drive was an amazing success – we were overwhelmed by the support! I’d like to sincerely acknowledge our hard- working P&C team & volunteers for your efforts to prepare for this fundraiser and for tirelessly cooking these delicious treats for our families.
