What is Youth Department?
The Youth Department is a group of eleven Episcopalian youth who are elected at EYC Convention by the youth of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. They serve one year terms. During the year, they plan and organize four different youth events.

What: A three-day long Senior High event
Where: Camp McDowell
When: December 28-30, 2010
Activities: Skits, singing, Tacky Sweater dinner, hiking, evening activities, small groups, music by Fran McKendree, great worship and fellowship!
Theme: “The Journey: Navigating the Mountains and Valleys”
Cost: $130.00
*Biggest youth event by far!

Spring Break Conference
What: A mini- Spring Break!
Where: Camp McDowell
When: March 18-20, 2011
Activities: Hiking, singing, canoeing, music, games, ultimate frisbee, skits, and more!
Theme: “The Reset Button: Being Made New”
Cost: $80.00

EYC Convention
What: Annual meeting of the youth of the Dioces of Alabama
Where: St. John’s, Montgomery
When: April 15-17, 2011
Activities: Small groups, games, an excursion into Montgomery, games, fun business sessions, good fellowship Theme: “Human Puzzle:
Piecing Together the Body of Christ”Cost: $50.00* Come and vote on the youth offering and elect the Youth Department for 2011-2012!

When: The week of July 4th

Sawyerville Day Camp• What: Day Camp for the children
of Hale County, Alabama
• Where: Greensboro Elementary
• When: In the summer!
*Counselors must be sixteen or older.
