Good-Bye GreenspaceNews on upcoming

developments in Hawthorne Village on the Park

Page 2: The Willmott Ruhler - April 2016

If you’ve been keeping up with the Hawthorne Village on the Park (HVOTP) Facebook page you’ll know that The Kormendy Trott Team recently updated the neighbourhood about the proposed development of vacant land between Sunny Mount Park’s play area and the leash-free dog park. If not, what have you been doing!?

The land was sold last year and rezoned to allow limited commercial use and a building of up to 10,000 square feet. The purchaser has proposed to develop a 3-storey medical building with a total of approximately 30,000 square feet as well as renovating the existing heritage home for additional medical-related tenants. Due to the proposed size of the building, additional permissions may be required by The Town.

Many HVOTP residents are upset over the proposed development due to losing the natural landscape, the addition of a roadway, more traffic, etc. Local councillors, Colin Best and Rick Di Lorenzo, offered support on the topic in the way of information and offering to meet with concerned home owners.

If you would like more information about the development or for a copy of the current dialogue on facebook, call or text Adrian at (416) 707-8401 or visit the facebook page by clicking the link on the neighbourhood’s website at www.HVOTP.com

Development - Sunny Mount Park

Remember when you stayed at that nice hotel or your favourite resort down south? Think back to the small details you found in the washroom. Things like the fresh white towels being rolled up, wrapped bars of soap waiting for you, fresh flowers, his and her robes and slippers, etc.

When it comes time to sell your home, recreating those details in your bathrooms will have the same effect in winning over prospective buyers!

One trick to ensuring that your shower looks its best is to remove all of the toiletries or replace them by pouring soaps into matching bottles.
