From the outside, it remains as a distance symbol, but inside, the idea comes alive.This is the finest house, and this is the best house.It’s the best house because there’s something far more important than numbers of people who served; far more important than numbers of rooms, how big it is; far more important than numbers of magnificent pieces of art.This house has a great heart, and that heart comes from those who served.

• Now, the White House is so universally recognized, we can hardly imagine that it hadn’t existed.

• But almost 13 years after the USA had declared the independence, the city Washington was still nothing.

building this new city.• Washington wanted the city be built. He wanted it in the middle of

the country. He wanted it on the Potomac River. And he was determined to have these buildings because in having these buildings he would have his capital.

• Since that time the idea of a president is new, no one knows how a president’s house would look like.

When you walked in the white house and know you were living there, it’s really a hard feeling to describe….You think… I’m waking into this White House, all these other people walked before me, and all the things went on…I mean that all the things are inspiring.

Although Washington built the House, he died first.John Adam worried about the cost of such a big house, but the House finally attracted him.On a night of November in 1800, Adams became the first president sleeping in the House.When he wake up next morning, he don’t know that is why, but it seemed time stopped in that moment. There is one thing makes the House an attraction, is the fact that a family really is living there, everyday. So the House is not only a political stage but also a human touch of a family live there.Tomorrow it is all over started again, and everyday. Families will come and go, just like other s’. These people are filling the House, and give it life. And America idea endures.
