ANNA SAWYER"Wheelabrator's Golden Girl"With over 53 years of company service, Anna, AssistantManager of Abrasive Sales, was the second employee (ArdeeFreeman being the first) to achieve 50 years of Wheelabrator service. Anna's retirement plans for the moment are mainly concerned with enjoying the home she shares with sister, Margaret,a Wheelabrator Executive Secretary. However, we did learn thaton July I, her first day of retirement, Anna will be very much involved babysitting her great niece and nephew.
BOB SCHALLIOL "Mr. Marketing Services"From overseeing our advertising program to orchestratingour participation in tradeshows, as well as handling thecountless tasks that arenecessary in running an efficient marketing program. Bob,Manager-Marketing Communications (and this editor'smentor), has more than earnedthe title "Mr. Marketing Services." With over 41 years ofcompany service, Bob has noimmediate plans for the futureother than discarding his alarmclock on July I.
The Materials Cleaning Systems Division commends withthis special issue of the Wheelagram our latest retireesand takes this opportunity to wish them and their familiesthe best of luck and happiness in the future. The retirees,Fred Baldauf, George McNeile, Bob Schalliol, AnnaSawyer, and Bob Trueax, and their guests will be honored at a retirement dinner tonight. This special affairwas planned to give each retiree the honor and recognition due for their long and valuable service to Wheelabrator.
Wheelabrator is certainly special in this area and, perhapsin the country, when in the month of June employeeswith a total service of 191 plus years elected to retire. Toprovide the best opportunity for participation by thelargest number of their co-workers, it was decided tohave one major event hon.oring these retirees so their

"Wheelabrator parts?Check with Trueax," is thestatement frequently heard.Bob, and his wife Iris, plan tospend lots and lots of time thissummer fishing on MagicianLake where they have a summer cottage - wintering inFlorida is on the agenda whenthe winds begin to blow andthe snows begin to snow.
fellow employees could arrange their schedules and bepresent at the dinner tonight. Also, some of our presentretirees are expected to make efforts to come to the dinner. For instance, Charles Benham is making a specialtrip from Ohio to participate in this dinner. Charlie wasthe first person hired by our parent company, The SandMixing Machine Company. Mr. Benham was hired byMr. Minich nearly 72 years ago.
As the company grows and more employees elect to retire, the method of recognizing and honoring these retirees will be reviewed, taking into account all of the factors that must be considered. Of prime importance to thecompany is that proper and broad recognition be given toall retirees for their valuable service and efforts on behalfof the company.
