CONFERENCE INFORMATION

AccreditationThis program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 35.75 hours of clinical category I CME credit by the Physician Assistant review panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity. This program was planned in accordance with AAPA’s CME Standards for Live programs and for commercial support of live programs.

Electronic SyllabusWAPA will be providing an e-syllabus in place of a paper syl-labus. The link will be sent to your email address 1 week prior to the start of the conference. It will have all of the speaker presen-tations (powerpoint slides, outline, articles). Each attendee at registration check-in will receive a packet of information (sched-ule, raffle rules and events that you signed up for). The e-syllabus can be downloaded onto your laptops desktop so that you can follow along on your laptops to the presentations. The e-syllabus will be available online for 3 months after the conference. Watch for an email from WAPA with instructions on how to view the e-syllabus online.

Automated Response SystemThe WAPA Winter CME will use an automated response system in our main lecture hall to create interaction between you and the speaker. The hand-held remote will allow attendee’s to convey responses to questions asked by each speaker. Complete instructions will be available at the conference.

Registration/ReceptionPre-registration will be available on Friday, January 27th, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the WAPA suite at the Doubletree Hotel. Ask for the room number at the Hotel Registration desk upon check in. Please join us for hors d’oeuvres and beverages Friday evening. Regular registration begins at 7:00 am, Saturday, January 28th.

Refunds/CancellationsAn administrative fee of $50.00 is withheld from all refunds. No refunds will be made after the course has begun. Registration is limited to available space.

Job ListingsA job list will be posted on a bulletin board by the registration desk. It will be provided to share information regarding job opportunities that are available. You may want to bring a CV to share if you are actively looking for a new position. Or if you are looking to hire a PA, please bring a brief job description with contact information and we will gladly post the ad for you.

Concurrent LecturesConcurrent lectures will be offered with an expanded list of topics for attendees. These sessions are meant to provide advanced and more specific topics for attendees, especially for those returning from past Recertification Review Courses. Audio CD’s and DVD’s are available for sale for any lecture that you miss.

Concurrent WorkshopsLike concurrent lectures, the concurrent workshops are intended to provide conference attendees with medical education alterna tives. The workshops will be conducted in smaller rooms, with limited enrollment to maximize the hands-on nature of the sessions. Each workshop requires an additional fee from each attendee.
