WACE Exam timetables
• Available from SCSA now
• Completely non-negotiable – both written (Nov)
and practical (Sept/Oct)
• Personalised version distributed shortly after 17
September – errors to be reported to MPB. Take
careful note of student number!
Term 3 – practical subjects
• Deadlines for submission of portfolios for some subjects with practical component e.g. PES, Design, MDT - must be done through school
• Take careful note of rules for practical component (penalties)
• Practical examinations cannot be changed/ negotiated.
Term 3 – a tough term
• Weeks 3 – 8: assessments
• Week 9 Mon – Wed: non-assessment days but MUST attend lessons as usual
• Week 9 Thurs-Fri: Study Days (at home)
• Trial exams start on Saturday Week 9 - continue through Week 10 (timetable soon)
• Concerns – contact HoH/tutor (school psychologists)
Term 3 Holidays
• Boys should have some time off: +/- one week
• They should also do some study! +/- one week
• Good time to work through past papers and read

Term 4
• Trial examinations returned
• Boys given print-out of final marks and grades –need to check carefully
• Front covers of WACE examinations distributed
• Weeks 1 and 2: boys must attend – revision program
• Week 3: Valedictory, study week (at home)
• Teachers available to assist until end of WACE exams.
WACE examinations
• Timetables already released – SCSA website
• Arrive about 30 minutes prior to examination starting time – no entry if over 30 mins late
• Must make a genuine attempt or will lose grade (and possibly WACE)
• Some exams held at other centres – maps available from Studies Office
• Must take Personalised Timetable.

• No food, clear water bottles
• Take care with pen – erasable pen cannot be
read by machines that mark multiple choice
answers
• Toilet breaks can become an issue (!)
• Security and fairness paramount.
Sickness or Misadventure claims
• Form available from Margaret Brophy
• For candidates who suffer from a temporary
sickness or accident close to or during WACE
exams (see p26 of Handbook)
• Documentation must be provided in support
• Form must be submitted by Nov 27 at the latest.
Marking of the WACE exams
• All examinations are double-marked
• All candidates are anonymous – identified only
by their numbers
• Thorough, meticulous process. Candidates’
efforts are honoured.
Results
• Available Wednesday December 30 via TISC online
• MUST have student number to access
• Students usually have one week to make changes to TISC preferences – this is good to remember
• Results check available – only to check addition and that response is fully marked – no re-marking of actual answers is done.
Folio of Achievement
• Posted to students’ home addresses in January
• Contains – WACE
– Statement of results
– WACE course report
– any certificates.

(UAAL)
A UAAL is produced for all students with at least one 2015 WACE course scaled score.
Your UAAL will be available online from Wednesday 30 December (to be confirmed).
A hard copy of your UAAL on official stationery can be ordered online.
