The attachments and roof beams of the suspended platform should be secured. 7. The workers should ensure that the parapet or the roof wall is good enough to support either cornice hooks or outriggers. 8. For each worker, appropriate fall arrest systems should be used. Don’ts: For lowering or raising materials or tools, the fall arrest systems shouldn’t be used. Ask them not to use defective or damaged equipment. They should never remove, substitute, or alter the parts of the platform. The workers shouldn’t exceed the load capacity of the platform. They should ensure not to work near exposed electrical equipment or circuits as it could lead to immediate death.
