Permission to Publish
By checking the box allowing your information to be "published", you will further the community interests of
Loyalists.
As a rule, all newly approved members have their applicant name, their loyalist name and their United Empire
Loyalist Association branch name published in the UELAC gazette, and for some branches, in the branch
newsletter. All other personal contact information is protected and those seeking to contact you, such as
possible relations, will have to leave their own contact information with your branch, and you will then contact
them. Your branch may allow you to file a consent so that the branch can help others, such as relatives, get in
touch with you directly, or so that the branch may act as your agent by providing selected information on your
behalf.
The Association Council allows scholars and institutions access to other personal contact information for
academic purposes, and approves each request individually.
An open-access website to interest potential new members has been proposed but with access to only archival
information current to the same historical dates used by The Ontario Archives (births up to 97 years ago,
marriages 82 years and deaths 72 years). Your permission will allow the Association the ability to further
this aim.
If and whenever personal contact information is involved, permission to publish will always be sought
from each member as per our privacy policy available from our web site at http://www.uelac.org or directly at
