The Unati Co-op. Marketing-cum-Processing Society Ltd. is a Co-op. Societyregistered under Punjab State Co-op act. 1963 vide registration no. 7 dated 16-05-2003. The Unati is a group of young, dynamic, innovative and enterprisingagriculture scientists, biotechnologists, ayurvedacharyas, journalists,educationalist and farmers working with a shared vision of integration of ruralcommunity for sustainable development of Kandi area.The lower Shiwalik belt of Punjab also called Kandi area is one of the belt whichdo not get much attention during the era of green revolution due to its submountainous topography. So the agriculture activities of this area were not sodeveloped as compare to other parts of the Punjab. On the positive side the areais very rich in its natural Bioresources and only belt of Punjab having scope fororganic farming. Keeping in mind the problems and strengths of Kandi area theUnati was founded by group of some friend belong to this area. The Unati hasstarted well in year 2003 with three major objectives:

Natural Bioresources management

Under the natural Bioresources management programme the society successfullyoperating the Dept. Of Biotechnology, Govt. Of India sponsored project incollaboration with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology. Asenvisaged under the project, post harvest processing facility for value additionof locally available/cultivated Bioresources including medicinal, aromatic andhorticultural crops has been developed in Talwara. In this facility every yeararound 400- MT of Amla is processed to various finished Amla based foodproducts viz. Amla preserve, Amla juice, Amla chutney, squash, pickle etc.

Health Care Juice:

We are manufacturer of wide variety of Health Juices based on Amla, Aloe vera, Karela(Bittergourd), Giloye (Tinospora), Lauki (Bottlegourd) etc. We manufacture these juices fromhigh quality fruit raw material grows in leaps of lower Shiwalik Himalayas. Our Juices arerich in thraupatically useful ingredients and free from pesticides and harmful chemicalresidues.
