Message from Father Chris: All of you are aware of the devastation that Hurricane Maria brought to Puerto Rico and the earthquake in Mexico brought to Mexico City and the surrounding region. Thousands are in critical need of support. Given the proximity of the collections for Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Bishop McElroy is hesitant to call for another special collection but he asked the pastors at the Convocation last week, to make an appeal for support, in an appropriate way and at an appropriate time. We will be taking a second collection on October 22, the Bishop’s and I continue to appreciate your generosity and support in these matters.

Dear Parents,
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in teaching our faith to your children.
Here at St. Thérèse of Carmel we are dedicated to helping parents help their children grow in faith and be closer to God. Proper and comprehensive growth in faith formation is extremely important, especially in today’s constantly changing world.
If you have not registered your child for Faith Formation, there is still time. The registration forms are on-line at www.stocsd.org
We wish to thank all the parents and parishioners who volunteer their time to teach our children. Thank you for sharing the good news of our faith with the next generation so we might grow in our love of God and service to our neighbor. SToC Faith Formation Team

Parents are required to be formally registered as parishioners, and be participating members of our community for three months. Attending Mass does not make you registered– you must have filled out a registration form! If this is the first child, both parents are required to attend the Baptismal Class. Baptismal classes are held on the first Sunday of each month. Godparents are encouraged to attend the baptismal class, either at our parish or their own parish.
