Focusing on the related social studies curriculum standards for Ten- nessee in the 4th and 8th grade, participants will ex- plore the experience of Tennesseans during this period through primary sources from the collection at the Ten- nessee State Library and Archives. Participants receive: ●Thirteen professional development credit hours ●One night’s lodging (depending on distance of partici- pant from Nashville) ●Lunch each day Participants will be required to complete a lesson plan utilizing the primary sources, historical content, and/or educational tools they encounter during the workshop. This plan is due by July 19th, 2019. To apply: Twenty-five spots are available. All educators may ap- ply. First priority will be given to 4th and 8th grade educators.
