It’s September, that bittersweet time of year when the water starts to cool down and the sun begins to set on the summer. With a “We love Jamaica” beach towel, who can blame her? Jamaica is one of the real islands mentioned in the song about a made up island. Above: Julie Perkins picked the obligatory perennial “Margaritaville,” by Jimmy Buffett, while Melissa Porter chose “Summertime” by Kenny Chesney (“perfect song on the radio, sing along cause it’s one we know…”). Left: , Bill Parkerson chose the classic “California Girls,” by the Beach Boys, while three-year-old Betsy Neal piped up with anoth- er classic – the pre-school hit, “Wheels on the Bus.” Sandra Parkerson aptly selected “A Whiter Shade of Pale,” by Procol Harum, for the Labor Day weekend, which typically ends with a few cases of sunburn.
