QUALITY:Promotes quality of product,
service and systems as a philosophy to improve
business performance. Quality refers to “fitness for purpose” but is often used in
the sense of reliable compliance with standards.
It is often associated with the concept of “reliability”.

•Need for supply-side to incentive to SMMEs.
•Ensure SMME promotion does not compromise quality principles.
•The use of government procurement to enhance quality within organisations.
•Need to recognise that better informed consumers promote quality through better informed choices.
•Need to design and implement a “best practice” quality system which will facilitate the interface between government, industry, service providers and other stakeholders.
