To fully understand the year long commitment of being a member of The Spotlight Kids, please attend
an informational meeting. This meeting is for performers/crew members and their parents/guardians.
This year there will be two-three spots available for those interested in starting off as crew members.
During the meeting, veteran parents will talk about The Spotlight Kids, its history and mission. The
director will go over the audition process and answer any questions you may have. You must bring your
audition contract and, conflict calendar, and signed Spotlight Kids Policies form (We encourage you to

AUDITION
Scene
Please memorize your part, add emphasis, expression, body movement , etc. that go along with your character.
(Pay close attention to the characterization)
1. Gargoyle Gargle
Character: ( Idea: play on the words… “monster breathe” You can be Frankenstein or Dracula or any monster)
Announcer: Does your monstrous breath knock people dead? Is your life turning into a nightmare? Then
maybe you need this - Gargoyle Gargle—the only mouthwash made from 100% nitroglycerin. (try it) You’ll get
a bang out the minty taste (react as if an explosion has just taken place) and the powerful cleansers not only
fight cavities but totally annihilate the very teeth in which they grow! Smile… (you’re teeth are gone) Remem-
ber - gargle with Gargoyle, the bad breathe buster that will make you the life of the party!!!!!
2. Alice in Wonderland Travels or Mad Hatter Travels
Hi friends, Todays topic is “How to pick the Right Tour.” Modern Travel can be curiouser and curiouser
if you don’t know what you are doing. I’ve put together some helpful tips. Number 1: Never pick a tour package
that is led by a rodent. Rabbits in particular—they are always worried about time. Tip Number 2: Always choose
a tour that includes meals, then you won’t be tempted to partake on native foods simply because they float by
saying ‘Eat Me.” or “Drink Me.” Tip Number 3: Tours that boast about Mall Outlets are not a good idea, espe-
cially because your size can change. And Last Tip # 4: Choose a tour that knows about the customs for example:
Royality if you don’t know how to behave in front of them… you could lose your head. Happy Traveling!!!!!
3. Deal on Wheels
Character: Oggie or Aggie Kaboom ( a fast-talking cave salesperson)
Hi-ya, Hi-ya, Hi-ya Folks! Oggie (or Aggie) Kaboom here of move’em out Oggie’s Deals on Wheels ..
Where we roll ‘em in and you move em’ out. Take this little beauty here.. In solid granite. Only driven fifty feet
by a little old Neanderthal from Pasadena. ….. Or how about this fixer upper? We’re talking trade-ins folks
your, tools, your flint… your mother-in-law… And last but not least, this hot little number is straight off the Ice
Age floor. But better hurry—it won’t be here for long! So take it from me and remember Oggie’s (or Aggie’s)
Deals on Wheels—the only place you can get a mammoth bargain at rock-bottom prices!
