what is space?

Page 6: the Space

The space is bigger than the human mind can

imagine it is impossible to measure so no one khows how big space really is. All we know is that « earth » is in space and is in also home to many other planets. Space doesn’t have a coulour but some people believe that it is black.

Our solar system

Page 11: the Space

Our solar system is…

• Home to many planets and a sun (star ). the smallest of these is « pluto » but most people believe that doesn’t really classify as i planet but instead a « « dwarf planet » »

• Earth is the third planet away from the sun.

Page 12: the Space

An easy way to remembre the ordre of

the planet• My mercury • Very venus• Easy earth• Method mars• Just jupiter• Speeds saturn• Up uranus• Naming nepton• Planets pluto

Page 13: the Space

MercuryClosest to the sun

Smallest planet

Rotates once every 59 earth days

Very dry, and hot

Page 14: the Space

venusThe second closest to the sun Can be observed in the east at sunrise Can not be seen in the middle of the night

Page 15: the Space

earthThe third from the sun5th largest planetMore than 4.5 billion years old

Page 16: the Space

MarsFourth from the sunOnly planet whose surface can be seen in

details from the earthThe atmosphere of Mars is made of carbon

Page 17: the Space

jupiter∞The fifth planet from the sun

∞Largest planet in the S.S

∞Has at least 39 months

Page 18: the Space

saturno Sixth planet from the suno Has at least 31 moonso The surface on saturn consists of liquid and

gas

Page 19: the Space

uranusSeventh planet from the sunThe first planet discoverd Does not have a solid surface

Page 20: the Space

nepton• The 8th planet from the sun

• The atmosphere is mostly hydrogen and hilium

• Has 8 known moons

Page 21: the Space

plutoThe ninth planet from the sun

Pluto made of rock and ice

Page 22: the Space

The moon• Bigger then pluto• Only object in the S.S visited by humans• The moon is the cause of the ocean’s tide

Page 23: the Space

The sun• Closest star to Earth

• At least 4.5 billion years old

Page 24: the Space

comets• Are memebres of our solar system

• Celestial body moving about the sun

Page 25: the Space

what is Northern Lights?

Page 26: the Space

the Northern Lights is…

• The northern lights, one of several astronomical phenomena called polar lights (aurora polaris), are colored light visible on occasion in the night sky.

Page 27: the Space

What is the galaxy?

Page 28: the Space

The galaxy is…« A large system of stars held together by mutual gravitation »

The milky way
