Parent/Teacher Conferences Parent/Teacher Conferences will be TOMORROW, November 3rd, from 10am-6pm. Simply put, when parents and teachers work together, students benefit. That is why we feel Parent/Teacher Conferences are so vital to the success of every student at GCS. When parents and teachers can sit down and discuss how a student is doing in school, that partnership is strengthened tremendously, thus helping to ensure a successful educational experience for everyone. School WILL NOT be in session on Friday, November 3rd. Please note, if you have not already scheduled an appointment to meet with your student’s teacher tomorrow, please contact the school office to check on availability! Junior Class Sales Back by popular demand, the Junior class is again selling Spirit Wear as a fund- raiser for Junior/Senior Banquet. Please see attached order form on pages 4-6 and stock up! The Junior class will be selling $1 treat size bags of ScragglePop next week at ele- mentary snack time and lunch! Lion King, Jr. Performances Our student matinee for The Lion King, Jr. will be on Friday, No- vember 17th at 10am at the Jean Stephenson Auditorium at City Hall. CONGRATULATIONS to our “Students of the Week”:
Archery
All those who are interested in being a part of the archery team need to plan to begin practicing in December. If you have not participated up to this point, speak with Mr. Brewer immediately. We will participate in 6-8 tournaments in Kentucky and West Virginia. Most tournaments will be on Saturday, occasionally on Friday evenings. Most practices will be held on Wednesdays after school from 3:30-5pm. Please stay tuned for more information! Draw, Anchor, Aim! I Corinthians 10:31
Please Save Your Boxtops!
This program has proven to be very successful over the years, but we are dependent upon YOU to save your qualifiers! Many of the items we buy each week, to prepare school lunches or holiday dinners, contain the qualifiers for Boxtops. Also, if you gather qualifiers, please bring them in regularly to the school office. Our most recent submission has earned the school $619.60!
