he new year always starts with promises. Some are kept and some are better not kept! After all, most of the fun comes from
breaking the norms!! At BTF, we are breaking one norm in this first issue of 2008.
Normally, we do not cover individual achievements for Shrenuj fam-ily members. But here’s an occasion when entire nation has saluted the performance of young Darsheel Safary in “Taare Zameen Par”. BTF congratulates Mr. Mitesh Safary, member of our Tardeo based jewellery team, for having such a gifted son and hopes that Darsheel delivers much more mesmersing performances in the years to come!
In this issue, we are happy to introduce our new corporate identity. The new look and feel to our logo and other elements is in synch with the recent changes in our business model with increased contribution from jewellery, branding and retail businesses.
The last two months have been very eventful. We had the privilege of Finnish Prime Ministerial visit to our Tardeo factory, accompanied by Minister of Environment. We participated in the first ever IIJS-Signature in scenic Goa. Our annual cricket bonanza was organized with a lot of fanfare. Celebrated Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor wore a Shrenuj bangle at 53rd Filmfare Awards. Shrenuj’s Forev-ermark ring, promoted by Maharani Gayatri Devi was auctioned by Saffronart for Rs. 4.75 lacs. Diti opened new points of sales in Kolkata and Pune. And much more.....
Yet on one count, I wish to share my strong dissatisfaction. Your contribution to BTF remains very low. Let me remind you that BTF is your magazine and if you choose not to contribute, we may have to discontinue further issues. The choice is yours.

Noted graphic designer, Mr. Sudershan Dheer had designed our logo three decades ago, symbolising our focus on diamonds, exports and imports. Much has happened in these three decades where our business has developed much beyond diamonds. We are now a young company with dynamism and passion to excel. We continue to innovate and find better ways to do our job. And yet, we remain rooted in our heritage of more than 100 years in keeping our strong customer focus alive.
The new logo conveys three core values of Heritage, Innovation and Passion. We believe that these values will continue to keep us ahead of our competition. The new logo colours, blue and silver symbolise the steady and solid foundations (Blue) and the pure and dynamic (Silver) management approach. The new corporate identity will be adopted across the group from 1st April 2008 and comprises of all elements, including stationary, brochures, electronic templates, office
signages, website and much more. We believe that the new identity will be a true representation of our approach to business. The new logo has been created by BrandMission in Germany.
We give a sneak preview of the elements here and you shall soon have the new brochure and stationary in your hands.

During the dinner speech, Minister Tiilikainen expressed that India and Finland presented a huge potential for cooperation in preserving the environment. Indian industry could learn from their approach.
Mr. Doshi, in his address, said that global warming and pollution were not mere words but a serious concern now. He hoped that Indo-Finnish cooperation in this direction could provide a foundation for sustainable growth.

HErE WAS A trend which spoke of class, elegance and brilliance. No, we aren’t talking of the awards these pretty actresses bagged at the Awards night but of the jewellery that they elegantly flaunted.
oUr TAKE: Best Actress awardee Kareena Kapoor flaunted a pair of 21carat chandelier earrings. These brilliantly cut earrings were designed by Farah Khan for Mahesh Notandass and solitaire bangles were designed and manufactured by Shrenuj
Exquisite diamonds shone and bedazzled the red carpet building up
the crescendo to what was a ‘rocking’ event! Trends very clearly pointed towards long, dangling diamond chandeliers, cuffs and rings and it was little wonder that Best actress awardee Kareena Kapoor and Best Debutante (Critics category) Deepika Padukone chose to wear chandelier earrings with preciously crafted ForEVErMArK diamonds.
The beautiful Shrenuj bangle was an element of envy amongst other actresses present during the event and was widely covered by the media.

The fine art of living:
Yesterday is but a dreamTomorrow is only a visionBut today well-lived
Make every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope
Look well therefore, to this day!
Listening:
Examine what is said, not him who speaks.
If you wish to know the mind of a man listen to his words.
Listen to what they say of the others and you will know what they say about you.
He who rule must hear and be deaf, see and be blind.
Mind:
Discipline of the mind alone leads to self-realization.
Tolerance is the greatest gift of the mind.
Rule your mind, which, if it is not your servent, is your master.
We employee the mind to rule, the body to serve.
