The Sherlock Holmes Museum is the London home museum of legendary detective Sherlock Holmes, the literary character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. According to the books, Sherlock Holmes and his friend doctor Watson lived in the apartment in Baker Street, 221b during the period from 1881 till 1904.

The museum ground floor is occupied by a gift shop and a

small lobby.

On the fourth floor there are wax figures of heroes of various books about Sherlock Holmes.

The house interior is very detailed.

• In the museum it is possible to see many subjects of that time which are familiar to readers of the stories about Sherlock Holmes; for example, Holmes's violin, the hunting switch, a Turkish shoe with tobacco, the equipment for chemical experiments, Watson's army revolver and etc.

• On a drawing room wall under glass flaunts there is the monogram of Queen Victoria -«VR», which was raked by Holmes in the story «The Ceremony of the House Masgrave’s».
