Recent Event: Guten Gross from our recent Oktoberfest! SCAS switched our location this year to the Timberman Masonic Lodge in Annandale and enjoyed the lodge’s blue and white décor of the Bavarian flag. Many thanks to John Kochel for the use of the hall and the Kings Park German Band. Their 12 band members put on quite a show and had SCAS members on their feet dancing the polka in parade! As always, we appreciate the SCAS volunteers for helping set and clean up. Barry Uhlig drove to Pennsylvania to bring back delicious bratwurst and sauerkraut for our event. He rounded out the German feast with German Potato Salad and Red cabbage with apples. SCAS Treasurer Barbara Gatorian also whipped up German chocolate cake. Thank you to everyone for attending!

Medicare Questions? We don’t know what we don’t know… And what we think we know for sure, maybe we don’t know as well as we think we know. Medicare is a confusing topic. It’s not ‘one size fits all,’ and it’s not a single once-in-a-lifetime choice and you’re done. Life changes, options change. Want to discuss Medicare Parts A, B, C or D? Do you know what a Medicare Advantage Plan is and why it may or may not be appropriate for you? Your answers are a phone call away. Maddie Sharpe 703-924-0022 [email protected]
