The daylight hours are getting longer and hopefully soon we will start to see boats coming out from under- neath their winter covers. Unfortunately, our piers did not come through the winter unscathed. As a result of the high-water levels and the ice we have some damage to the brackets holding the fin- ger piers to the auxiliary pier. The damage is mi- nor, but it cannot go without repair. We will be looking for several work days over the next couple of months to address the damage. Please watch your e-mail for postings about work opportunities; we cannot get this done without the help and teamwork of our membership. The spring brat fry was a success, the fry crew not only cooked all the food but they somehow managed to clean the garage. Great job boys! We had a 50/50 raffle that generated a total pot just shy of $1,000.00 with the winner donating their portion back the club. Our members are the best!!! Ship 50 had their annual chili cook off with Kevin Wer- ner taking top honors this year. This coming month we have the Commodore’s Ball coming up on Saturday April 13. This year’s theme is a Crew Dinner with a cover band as entertainment and another 50/50 raffle. Dinner will feature the SYC tenderloin and were working to get whitefish. So, break out the crew gear and head on down to the club and join the fun. I look forward to seeing you all at the club this coming month.
