With over 23 years of experience working with women in the childbearing year and perinatal professionals, Laurel takes a crea- tive approach to working with the pregnant fam- ily. She is co-author of best-selling books, The Greatest Pregnancy Ever: The Keys to the MotherBaby Bond and The Attachment Preg- nancy: The Ultimate Guide to Bonding with Your Baby . Program Objectives

The conference will be presented in lecture format with question and answer sessions and an interac-tive workshop. At the completion of the conference the learner should be able to achieve the objectives presented with each topic. Professional: Participants will review states that have

IBCLC licensure and will identify 2 actions to support licensure in Kentucky in the next year.

Community: Participants will identify breastfeeding

support systems in the community and identify 2 ways to improve or partner with community support for the breastfeeding mother in public or when

returning to work or school.

Hospital: Participants will identify hospital practices

that have had positive impacts on breastfeeding ini-tiation and duration rates and discuss difficult cases and come up with 2 solutions for each case study.

Financial Assistance KLIC is offering two scholarships for both a member and non-member currently working with breastfeed-ing dyads. You may not have received the scholar-ship in the past 3 years. All complete applications will be reviewed by the KLIC Executive Board, and
