The Science of Compressed Air
In 1920, Quincy Compressor introduced a
line of air compressors that defined the
industry standard of reliability. Today this
same standard is renowned worldwide.
Our full line of reciprocating and rotary
screw compressors, integrated compo-
nents, climate control systems, and vacu-
um pumps have been engineered for opti-
mum efficiency and maximum productivity.
And while our customers rely on this kind
of cost-effective innovation, the future of
the world we live in demands it.
Expanding on Quincy’s forward-thinking
foundation requires a vision that is more
than just a glimpse into the future. It’s the
science of compressed air. It requires a
vision rooted in tradition, cultivated with
perseverance, and nurtured with the latest
technology.
This vision is about everyone who has
contributed to our success and everyone
who relies on Quincy Compressor to
make them successful.

YOUR “BEST PRACTICE”
FOR ENERGY SAVINGS
Optimize Your Compressed Air System:
• Reduce Energy Consumption
• Stabilize System Pressure
• Enhance Product Consistency
• Improve Plant Productivity
It’s the application of the patent
pending Quincy Efficiency Quotient
(EQ™) that allows us to quickly and
accurately define the potential
energy savings in your plant. And
it’s the bottom-line results that will
make Quincy your “Best Practice”
partner for energy savings.
In order to stay competitive in the global market,
you need partners that offer proven “Best Practice”
solutions. More than promises of energy efficiency,
you need bottom-line accountability – and Quincy’s
“Best Practice” standards for compressed air deliver
bottom-line results.
The generation of compressed air accounts for 10%
of the total industrial energy used in the United
States. Our “Best Practice” standards allow you to
compare your facility to the most efficient com-
pressed air systems in similar industries.
RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS
The founders of Quincy Compressor
were both entrepreneurs and innovators.
Propelled by the success of a unique
reciprocating vacuum pump in the early
1920s, Quincy Compressor was advanc-
ing the industry to meet changing cus-
tomer demands. From vacuum pumps to
single-stage compressors to splash-lubri-
cated two-stage compressors, Quincy
was developing new products to meet
the industry’s demand for more air at
higher and higher pressures.
In 1937, Quincy Compressor introduced
the Quincy QR-25 reciprocating com-
pressor. Today, with nearly 70 years of
proven performance, the Quincy QR-25
stands as a symbol of quality throughout
the industry. These same durable charac-
teristics have since become a part of
Quincy’s complete reciprocating line,
ranging from 1/3hp to 30hp – manufac-
tured in Quincy’s state-of-the-art recipro-
cating compressor factory in Quincy,
Illinois.
Every Quincy QR-25 reciprocating com-
pressor features cast-iron construction,
stainless steel disc-type valves for contin-
uous operation, two-piece connecting
rods, and the high-efficiency, low-main-
tenance performance standard that is
synonymous with True Blue Reliability.
