MEMBERS 22 The San Diego Regional Climate Collaborative is a network for public agencies that serve the San Diego region to share expertise, leverage resources, and advance comprehensive solutions to facilitate climate change planning. By partnering with academia, non-profits, and businesses, we also work to raise the profile of regional leadership. Recognized as an innovative partnership model by the U.S. EPA and received the 2015 Climate Leadership Award. Received $680,000 NOAA Grant for Protecting Region’s Coastline. Implemented best practices and models for advancing energy efficiency: • Streetlight retrofits • Energy mapping • Green business programs • Programmable thermostats Hosted regular network meetings to share local climate and energy practices, spotlight financing opportunities, and state-wide legislation and policy changes. Provided no-cost professional trainings to over 200 participants on climate change. Coordinated a Regional Sea Level Rise Working Group to support coastal resilience efforts.
