As we celebrate the Year of the Veteran, we are reminded that it honors all those who served in all theservices. This year also marks the 60th Anniversary of the end of World War 2, and as we reflect on thatera, we become more aware that it is our ongoing responsibility, and that, of future generations to carrythe torch of Remembrance. Peace itself demands continuing effort and renewed sacrifice by those whoserve.

The individualswho were so kind to forward pictures of the Veterans and a brief biography, our thanks also goes out toyou. So many memories of youthful men and women.
This booklet ensures that P.E.I. Command will continue to provide support to our Veterans, Youth, andthe various community programs.

A Song For The Brave written by John A. MacLean inappreciation to the men and women who served theircountry.
A Song For The Brave
To the heroes that we owe for our freedomWho fought and died in a land across the seaBrave young men and courageous young womenThey answered the country’s call for you and me
Good men died out on the field of battleAnd in the battles upon the raging seaThose brave men that gave all they had to giveSo the people could live in a land that’s free
Gave up their youth and their prime for this countryleft their homes and the people they loved so dearThose that returned had to live with tragic memoriesof the hardship, and the death, and of the fear
Good men died out on the field of battleAnd in the battles upon the raging seaThose brave men that gave all that they had to giveSo the people could live in a land that’s free
Good men died out on the field of battle
