HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS
WEEK’S PROGRAM
PP Dominic Mecklenburg took center stage
and did a fabulous job reminding everyone
to think of others during the holiday season
and thanked our servers, Tracy & Cecilia,
who do a great job taking care of us during
the year. He followed up with a card and a
gift card for each of them.
Our holiday Elf Mecklenburg came dressed
in his elf attire and kicked off our gift
exchange with drawing numbers. Bobby
Meyer w as first! Included in the gift
exchange was a “Gag Gift” produced by our
Elf w ith President Rich in m ind. At
the insistence of Elfie, the gift was chosen
by President Rich. It was a fram ed
certificate for a 3-day/2-night stay at the
Children’s Receiving Home! Everyone had a
good laugh and President Rich was allowed
to choose another gift. Many gifts were
stolen, stolen again and then retired. A good
time was had by all! Back again for the
second time in the white elephant gift
exchange were those infamous
gnomes. Once again, President Rich
selected them, hoping this time they would
make it to the Ryan’s residence. Alas, that
was not to be the case. In a highly
entertaining steal, the gnomes went home
with President Elect Gene Long.
All gifts having been selected and the fun
over, President Rich Ryan asked everyone to
join him in our traditional toast “Rotary
Around The World” and adjourned the
meeting.
