The School Council helps celebrate the Commonwealth values

The School Council meets once a month, or whenever they need to meet. The School Council is currently debating the School name ... Should we stay as ‘Clare Mount Specialist Sports College’, drop

the ‘Specialist’ or become ‘Clare Mount High School’.

There is 1 person per form across the school on the School Council.

These people are voted for by their form each year.

A number of people on the School Council are Peer Mentors. They help people, and run

activities at lunchtime.

The School Council members listen to ideas from their form and put them forward

Pupils at Clare Mount are encouraged to be leaders themselves and suggest trips and other events

10 pupils became Games Makers at London 2012 acting as ‘Kit carriers’ inside the Olympic Stadium

Sports Leaders organise lots of competitions between forms and involving our cluster of schools

Some pupils help with lunchtime clubs and Community Sport Night on Wednesdays

We promote ‘health’ through Beat the Street – A global walking / cycling challenge against some Commonwealth

Countries

We also help organise Sport Relief events & Fundraising

20 pupils will be Junior Golf Supervisors at The British Golf Open to be held near our School on Wirral
