Weconcludedourlastmeetingof2015withafun-filleddaythatfeaturedvirtualrealityexperiencefromGoogleCardboardandglimpsesofpopulartoolsfromChristmas,theSpherorobotandahoverboard.

Allthedemonstrationsbroughtsmilestothegroup.Whatwasespeciallyhumorouswaswatchingfolkstryoutthehoverboard.Whileitdidnotcatchonfire,itwasablasttowatchfolksattempttobalancethemselvesandmoveaboutthelibrary.

2015YearinReview

2015wasanexcitingyear in roboticsandespecially for theRiversideRoboticsSociety. We had fantastic lectures in robotics, 3D printing, learned aboutprogramming the Raspberry Pi, held contests in sumo bot and line following,learnedhow tocatcha rathumanelywithanArduino, learnedaboutAssemblyCoding,andhadafieldtriptoseehowrobotsareusedbythebombsquad.

In addition to lectures and events at Riverside Robotics, many members alsoattendedeventsliketheMakerfaires(SanMateo,SanDiegoandOrangeCounty,DARPARoboticsChallengeandtheSoCalMakerCon.
