Chalking it up for charity The Rotary Club of Providence will host the 11th annual Providence Rotary Street Painting Festival on Saturday. More than 100 artists are expected to take over the venue and create chalk drawings on the rink floor. The rotary club will also have about 15 local restaurants and caterers on hand with food samples. Proceeds from the Street Painting Festival benefit the Providence Rotary Charities Founda-tion, which supports Providence charities focused on children. LOCATION: Bank of America Skating Center, 2 Kennedy Plaza, Providence. Saturday, Oct. 2, noon to 6 p.m. Cost: free; charge for food sam-pling.
