Christopher M. Connor is the retired Executive Chairman of The Sherwin-Williams Company. Mr. Connor began his employment with Sherwin-Williams in 1983 as the Director of Advertising. Over his long career he held a number of increasingly important assignments in many different leadership roles. He served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman from 1999 to 2016 before taking on his final assignment as Executive Chairman. He retired from the company in December of 2016. Mr. Connor currently serves on the Board of Directors of Yum! Brands, International Paper and the Eaton Corporation, where he serves as the lead director. His many civic and community board engagements in-clude University Hospitals Health System, The Playhouse Square Foundation, Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, where he serves as Chairman of the Board.
