The king ofWales is

Vortigern."I want anew bigfortress"

"Look! Youbuild myfortress

there, onthe hill."

Men startthe hardwork butevery day

the fortressfalls.

King calls hiscourtiers

together andthey say:"You mustfind a child

and kill him!"

Knights seea child in thevillage nearVortigern's

fortress:"Come with

us!"

"Tomorrowyou will be

killed!""Please,

don't kill me!I know whyyour fortress

falls!"

"There aretwo sleepingdragons in

the hill. Theirmovements

cause the fallof yourtowers!"

"Knights...get outdragons

and the hillwill befree!!!"

As soon asthey discover

them, thedragons

wake up andgo out..."

Immediatelya furious

fight startsbetweenthe two

animals...

The whitedragon flies

fasterand....

...the longwhite tail

hitsthe red

dragon...

...its whitenails

scratchthe redbody...

... and thewhite teeth

bitein the red

neck!!!

The poorred dragon

appearsdeadbut....

... gets up,opens

its big redwingsand ...

... flies overthe whitedragon

thatfalls down!

The fight islong.

The reddragon killsthe other

animal withits sharpteeth and

wins!

"Knights,take the

dragon andbring him tomy fortress"

the Kingorders!

"Boy,stay with us

at thefortress,

and...what's your

name?""I'm Merlin"

Merlin lives,from thatday, in the

new fortressof the King.Where is thered dragon?

It lives inthe fortresssecret, it is a

friend ofMerlin (it can

speak withhim!) but...

... you cansee it

everywhere,because

it isin the

Welsh flag!
