Chapter and Verse First up, passing along info that was shared with me . Forgotten Books, http://www.forgottenbooks.org is a huge online library which boasts over 1,000,000 books available. I did a quick look at the site and they offer an image search option as well as search for words and phrases inside any book in the library. Check it out! Second, for the interested in the work of Scribes, from the British Library, http://www.bl.uk/catalogues/illuminatedmanuscripts. Some truly amazing illuminated Manuscripts! Finally, The deadline to apply to be a book giver for World Book Night http://www.us.worldbooknight.org ends on Jan 5th, I have applied again and will give out The Ranger’s Apprentice by John Flanagan.

Congratulations!! Baroness Aneleda Falconbridge is a gifted Bard of the East
Kingdom and supporter of the Quid Novi/QD. She has been an-nounced as the winner of the Of “The Known World's Got Talent” competition with her song“I Am of the North!” The video will be featured on the Society Newcomer's Portal to inspire our new
folks to learn about the bardic arts. Be sure to check it out!! http://welcome.sca.org
If the competition is held again next year, with all the talent we have here in Caer Mear, I hope we will have several entrants.
Maybe we can do a group song!! Let’s face it, Caer Mear HAS talent!

Many of us here in Caer Mear are fond of German cuisine. The Canton of Middlegate is offering a wonderful German themed
even with a feast prepared by the wonderful Lady Murienne L’aloiere ! Many of you have read the articles she has
written for the Quid Novi/QD and know she is a gifted cook!
They are offering a novice A&S competition of German Garb/headwear as well as a Zufällige Waffen Tourney (random weap-
on tourney), Rapier tournaments and Bardic throughout the day.
Contact the autocrat to see if there is still feast space available!

There was no monthly business meeting in December due to schedule conflicts with several members. However...
There are some things to keep in mind that will be here before you know it! Caritas, there will be a need for help here with setting up cots on Jan 25th (see Master William if you can help) and then the meal we provide
on the 28th. Updates will be coming on FB and baronial mailing list. Please don’t forget about the donation jar that will be out at A&S/practices
to help with the cost of the meal.
Dame Magda would love to hear from you if have any ideas for classes or would like to teach one!
Your humble Chronicler is always interested in anything you have for
The Quid Novi/QD, otherwise she starts writing stuff herself and THAT never ends well...
