Wash Away Foundation Pa-pers are ideal for paper piecing and machine embroidery. The paper works in copy machines, printers, with pens & pencils and rubber stamps. And when you’re done the papers dissolve in wa-ter. Each pack contains 25 sheets 8.5" x 11".

The clear plastic Button Bank features eight compartments to store and organize buttons. Ro-tate the cover to expose the de-sired compartment and open the flip tab to get the buttons you need. Designed for buttons but great for the office or work shop to store small items.

Jelly Rolls—is there anyone out there who doesn’t know what these great quilting temp-tations are?

A jelly roll is 40 strips of a fab-ric range that has been laser cut into 2½ inch strips the width of the fabric. All the cutting is done, so you can get started on your project straight away.

Class Rules & Etiquette (or something like it)

1. Please book classes in advance.

2. A deposit must be paid at the time of booking the class, with the remainder payable at least 1 week in advance.

3. There is no refund of monies paid should you be unable to attend your class but you are most welcome to send someone in your place.

4. We reserve the right to cancel a class should numbers not be sufficient. Should we cancel a class, then you will receive a refund of monies paid.

5. Please arrive for class 15 mins early so that the class is able to start on time. If you have been delayed (and we all understand how this happens), please call to let us know.

6. Morning and/or afternoon teas are included in your class fee. Lunch is not in-cluded in your fee.

7. Requirement lists will be provided once your deposit has been paid. All sup-plies are available at the shop unless advised otherwise.

8. Costs listed are for classes only unless stated that kits etc are included.

9. Wherever possible, samples will be available for viewing in the shop.

10. Children are not catered for during class, so to be fair to all please arrange child minding for the period you are at class. We want everyone to enjoy themselves including you.

The award winning quilt ‘Blessed Baltimore’ shows how simple it is to achieve a stun-ning Baltimore appliqué look with simple coloured pencils on fabric. This version of Colourqué involves hand outline stitching but can be transformed into free machine embroidery or quilting if desired. (Enjoyable hand stitching will be done by all in class however)

ENGLISH PAPER PIECING

Hand pieced hexagons are very portable and fun to make from small pieces of fabric. Lynette will take you through the basics of paper piecing hexagons and give you some hints on how to incorporate them into a quilt such as her Lavender & Lace quilt, with a romantic old world theme. From there you can make your quilt into any size you like.

FLORAL ABUNDANCE PATCHWORK BAG

This 18" x 17" bag, by Raggedy Stitches, is a great all purpose carry bag for every sewer! You’ll learn 6 different patchwork techniques as there are six outer pockets, each a different block, . The drawstring at the top of the bag keeps everything inside safe, and is not easily accessed by prying hands or eyes. GOLDWORK

Choose from Sandy’s latest design- an elegant classic rose or one of Sandy’s other patterns. These projects will take you through the techniques for using goldwork wires and threads. The project also incorporates some basic stumpwork elements.

Whichever you choose you will learn the beautiful art of goldwork using an array of metallic threads and wires, luxurious threads and rich fabrics. This class is suitable for the beginners or the experienced embroiderer.

GROUP — CHARITY QUILTS

Come along and help us make quilts for those in need. This year we have worthy or-ganisations to support. Quilts of Love for the Royal Women’s Hospital, quilts for Brain Injured Children, quilts for families graduating from the Fresh Hope Program and quilts for the Forget-Me-Not Orphanage in Nepal. We need people to cut, press, sew (both machine and hand) and generally help.

This group meets on the first Friday of each month. Please bring your sewing bits and pieces (we have our own machine etc.).

GROUP—WEDNESDAY NIGHT “STITCH & CHAT”

Looking for somewhere to come and relax, enjoy the company of others and get a bit of sewing done at the same time. Then this group is for you. Our only requisite for this group is that you are working on projects relating to the shop (not scrapbooking or knitting or the like) and preferably purchased through the shop.

Cost $2.50 per week

WEDNESDAYS 5:30—7:30 Feb 6, 13, 20, 27 and continuing throughout the year.

Please note - All fees collected for the group are used to offset the cost of supplies purchased and used in the making of Charity Quilts.

HARDANGER

Award-winning embroiderer Anna Targ has created a lovely lace-like coaster that will teach you a variety of hardanger techniques. The project will take you through klos-ter blocks, needleweaving, cutting and edging.

After you have taken this class you will be able to tackle larger and more complex projects.

Choose your own quilt design and Donna Elkington will guide you along the way to making your own quilt. Donna has years of experience teaching and creating her own quilt designs and welcomes beginners and advanced quilters for either hand or machine quilting. You can take as little or as long as you like—all we ask is that you advance book your place in the class and advise which patchwork quilting design you will be working on.

LITTLE CHARMERS TABLERUNNER

Grab a pack of 5” charm squares or use up your scrap fabric to make up a beautiful table runner using a Little Charmers Pattern. There are 4 different patterns from which to choose and each pattern features 3 different table runners so the options are endless.

LITTLE JAMMIES

You’ll just love these Little Jammies by Favorite Things. The pattern is multi-sized so you can custom make them for the very little people in your life or for older chil-dren. In this class you will make up the pyjama top and pants. It is a great class for beginners—learn how to attach facings, insert simple sleeves, do button and button holes and more. Once you have made one pair, everybody in the family will want a pair.
