A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT… Hi Everyone, I hope you are having a great summer. Well, it's just under 2 months until the Flyers first pre-season game. But, we have a little tease this year with the World Cup in Toronto. Top players from around the NHL and the world will be competing. It will certainly whet our appetite for the 2016-17 season. As a club, we are hopefully getting some things together for the Flyers 50th Anniversary, that we hope you will enjoy and participate in this year. As always, we appreciate any input from our members with ideas, suggestions or help for the upcoming season. Thank you as always for being part of the fan club for the best team in the NHL. Enjoy the remaining days of the summer and see you soon. A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT…
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are having a great summer. Well, it's just under 2 months until

FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK by Lois Witulski The 2015-16 season was once again a great year of guests for the Flyers Fan
Club. Flyers Head Coach Dave Hakstol, Alumni Dave Schultz, Brad Marsh
and Bob Kelly, Flyers hockey writer/blogger Bill Meltzer and Flyers Director of Sports Medicine Jim McCrossin joined us last year. Each of these men have
very different jobs with one thing in common - their love of the Flyers and
the game of hockey. Over the years, we have heard from so many interesting
people from the hockey world and it is always fun to hear their stories.
There were several great road trips this past season and as always our Trip
Coordinator Lou Milano along with Phans of Philly Joe DiBiaggio are hard at
work planning an exciting trip schedule for the upcoming season (see page 3).
The 2016 NHLBC Convention hosted by the NY Islanders Booster Club
will be held the weekend of August 12-14, 2016 in Long Island, NY. You can
read all about it in the next issue.
Other activities this past season were a Flyers Watch Party at Chickie’s &
Pete’s last December, our Annual Beef & Bowl in May, a Phillies outing
in June and our 1st ever “Painting with a Twist” get together also in June.
Painting was a blast and everyone did a great job with their pictures. I look
forward to more fun gatherings during the upcoming season…
Update: I recently heard from long time PFFC member Doris Moss. She and
Bob have sold their home and moved to Spring House, where Bob has been
living since February. Doris is enjoying her new surroundings and Bob is
being well taken care of with his health issues. Doris would like everyone to
know that she is thinking of the PFFC and misses seeing you all at meetings
and games. I think I speak for all of us who know them: Doris and Bob,
we love you and miss you too!
We’d like to hear from you!

PFFC / Phans of Philly Road Trips 2016-17 season NASHVILLE 12/2 TO 12/5/2016:
Three seasons ago we did a Flyers weekend in Nashville, and couldn’t get enough of the city. So we are doing it again, but this time with more knowledge of the city to make this trip even better than the last. It is sure to be an awesome weekend in one of the most fun cities to visit. Friday December 2nd we'll fill a plane with ORANGE & BLACK as we take off first thing in the morning from Philly non-stop into Nashville. This gives everyone a whole extra day to take in what Nashville has to offer (and there's much to do…) We will be staying at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Nashville, a perfect location and walking distance to everything you would want to see. All of the nightlife on Broadway Ave and Bridgestone Arena is a less than 10 minute walk. Maybe an early Holiday Gift for yourself??? PACKAGE Details: ~Roundtrip airfare departing Philadelphia Friday morning December 2nd nonstop into Nashville and returning Monday early evening December 5th into Philadelphia. (Includes 1 checked bag and carry-on bag per passenger each way) and Roundtrip airport and hotel transfers ~3 night hotel stay at the Doubletree hotel located in the heart of downtown Nashville. ~Flyers vs Blackhawks watch party Saturday (12/3/16) at noon with great drink and food specials. There will be Flyers giveaways as well. Including Flyers jerseys, Flyers tickets, and more! ~Eagles watch party/Flyers pre-game party Sunday (12/4/16) at the well-known Tin Roof bar located across the street from Bridgestone arena. Starting at noon the bar will be showing the Eagles game, and from there we will walk across the street to the Flyers game! Remember, from noon to 3 PM everything below will be free, including Domestic bottled and draft beer, mixed drinks, wine, soda, Barbecue pulled pork sliders, Smoked brisket sliders, Nashville hot chicken sliders, Chicken & waffle nuggets with bacon maple syrup, Brisket and roasted mushroom quesadillas, Fried pickles, sloppy nachos, and more!! ALSO FEATURED: Live music and all servers & bartenders gratuities. ~Upper level game ticket seated as a group of Flyers fans on the side the Flyers shoot twice for the game Sunday night (12/4/16) at 5:00 PM ~Food and drink specials at several well-known bars only for our group throughout the weekend Full Package Prices: Quad Occupancy (4 people in a room)- $729 per person Triple Occupancy (3 people in a room)- $769 per person Double Occupancy (2 people in a room) $829 per person *We only require a $150 deposit per person to reserve your spot. This will be deducted from the total package price. The remaining balance is then paid off in very flexible payments leading up to the trip. This is just one of the advantages of booking with us. We do not require large upfront payments, and we make it very easy on everyone to pay the package cost. *If you do not need airfare then $275 will be deducted from the total cost above when you are invoiced. *If you are looking for a roommate or roommates for the trip to keep the cost down for yourself or your group, please reach out and we will try our best to match people if needed!
