End-to-end encryption for all – ZoomAfter the debacle of Zoom, the video communications app provider decided it will only offer
end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for its paid customers. Just after weeks of this decision from the feedback received from civil liberties organizations, CISO council, child safety advocates,
encryption experts, government representatives and user the CEO of Zoom announced that have decided to provide E2EE for all its users.
The enhanced E2EE will be available starting in July 2020.

Dutch DPA on use facial recognition
Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), the Dutch Data Protection Authority has informed the supermarkets on use of facial recognition.
AP has issued a letter to the Central Food Trade Agency, the trade association to prevent supermarkets from unlawfully using facial recognition.

CNIL, the French Data Protection Authoritylast year imposed a fine of EUR 50 million(USD 56 million) on Google for violating theGDPR obligations of transparency and legalbasis for processing.
The fine was highest ever and appeal wasfiled with the Apex administrative Court ofFrance. On 19th June, 2020 the Court seizedthe appeal and confirmed that the fineimposed was not disproportionate.

The Office of the Data ProtectionOmbudsman, the Finnish Data ProtectionAuthority imposed a fine of EUR 72,000 onTaksi Helsinki, a Finland based taxi operatorfor violation of GDPR.
The company failed to assess the complianceof GDPR before upgrading to a camerasurveillance system that records audio andvideo in its taxis; and also the company didnot notify the customers of such change andthe documentation of personal dataprocessing.
