Learn fascinating indigenous wisdom and practices of the ancient Incas! We have the honor and privilege of traveling with Wachan Bajiyoperak, who was born in Ciromayo Cusco, Peru. Wachan’s father was a Hampig medicine man, and from early childhood, Wachan learned a deep connection to the Incan temples, the sacred mountains, and the ways of his ancestors. His father trained him in natural medicine, while his mother taught him traditional Incan music and mythology. Wachan’s wife, Martika, a talented musician, and their daughter Shiqwarkenty will share this journey. Journey Itinerary Day 1 November 1 or May 1 Depart the US for Peru. Arrive in LIMA (Most flights from the U.S. arrive at midnight.) on November 1 just before midnight or right after midnight on November 2. Transfer to airport hotel. Overnight Lima. Day 2 November 2 or May 2 (B/D) Transfer back to the airport for our one-hour flight to Cusco over the spectacular Andes Mountains. As we fly into Cusco, the colorful ancient capital of the Inca Empire, we are greeted by the towering "Apus" (mountain spirits) with their shimmering caps of snow. Transfer to our hotel in the heart of the city. Time to rest to adjust to change in altitude. Late afternoon features an Introductory Group Meeting, followed by our "Welcome to Peru Dinner" of traditional Peruvian cuisine at the hotel. Overnight Cusco. Day 3 November 3 or May 3 (B/L) After an early buffet breakfast, we depart in our private bus to visit sacred sites in the Cusco area. Our first stop is Tipón, where an extraordinary colonial adobe stands out. The abode is part of the Qespikancha hamlet that was property of the De San Lorenzo de Valle Umbroso Marquises (1650-1802). It is without any doubt, the most important countryside monument inherited from colonial times, but nowadays is completely abandoned. Here, Wachan will lead us through a traditional ceremony dedicated to our asking permission and clarification to enter this Sacred Land. Next, we will travel back to Cusco for a fabulous tour of the city with a local guide. Cusco was the capitol of the ancient Incan civilization. People from the four sacred corners come and bring their best to the Holy City. Travel with us into the heart of the Andean civilization, Cusco. Q,osqo in the Runasimi or Keschua language means belly, the bottom center of the Inca civilization, where all of the Hamattas (wisdom keepers) from the fours corners gather to have connection with Father Sky and Mother Earth. Love and Harmony. We visit the most important temple in South America, K’Oricancha, the Temple of the Golden Sun. The Intiqchurinkuna “Children of the Sun” built this astrological monument Sedona Spiritual Journeys presents to be in connection with the universal events that happen each solstice (the ecuanocqsious). Day 4 November 4 or May 4 (B/L) Today we travel to Sacsayhuaman, where you will see some of the most amazing Incan architecture: Walls made of giant megalithic stones, fitted together perfectly without any mortar! Cusco was originally laid out in the shape of a puma, the totem animal of the Kay Pacha, the middle world in Incan cosmology. Sacsayhuaman was the puma's head, and the zigzag walls at this amazing site represent the teeth, as well as the path of the lightning, a revered earth elemental for the Incas. The Temple of Sacsayhuaman is one of the most significant sanctuaries. We will visit The Heart of Cusco, Q’Enoqo and the Temple of the Moon, where Wachan will lead the group in a sacred ceremony to invoke within us the power of the Condor, totem of the HananPacha, the Upper World. After an incredible experience in these magnificent temples, we will go to Pucapukare and enjoy a special picnic lunch in nature. After lunch, we visit Tambomachay. We have leisure time to enjoy the beauty of this magnificent site and the opportunity to connect with nature and the ancestors of this sacred land. We will spend the night at the ROYAL INCA PISSAQ Hotel in the Sacred Valley. Dinner on your own. DAY 5 November 5 or May 5 (B/L) Another exciting day in the Sacred Valley! Our private coach will take us to Pissaq Ruins where we will experience many insights with our brothers, Winay Taki, a talented group of 15 beautiful natives from Cusco, whose dance will rejuvenate us! This afternoon in Pissaq Indian Market, you will discover a colorful fresh organic market, full of fresh fruit, corn, and native produce. Shop for beautifully woven garments and rugs, pottery and jewelery. Meet the natives who travel from the high mountain areas to trade seeds for fresh fruit and potatoes. Return to the hotel. DAY 6 November 6 or May 6 (B/L) Today we travel to Ollantaytambo, the Sanctuary of the Wind, an Incafortress/temple that is one of the most impressive in Peru. First, we visitthe royal baths/fountains and perform a shamanic energy cleansing ceremony led by Wachan, using Unu, the Water element. Then we walkbeside the nearby river to an area of the site that is rarely visited by people: The Temple of the Condor for a time of silent meditation andreflection. We end our after noon at the main altar area of the temple,where we receive our blessings from Wayra, the Wind element, andguardian of the site. After departing the temple, we will check into ournearby hotel. There will be free time this afternoon, and you will have theoptional opportunity (at an additional cost to tour package) to experiencetraditional Andean Coca Leaf Reading or a shamanic healing session.Prepare for tomorrow's journey to Machu Picchu! Dinner on your own.

Day 7 November 7 or May 7 (B)After our early breakfast, we board the train to Machu Picchu. We travelalongside the Urubamba River, deep into the mountain valleys of the highjungle for approximately two hours. Upon arrival, we take the bus up toMachu Picchu, the 8th Wonder of the World, and Crown Jewel of theAndes!. We visit the Temples of the Sun & Moon, the Temple of theCondor, the Temple of the Three Windows, and finally, the world-famousspiritual center of the site, Intihuatana, the Hitching Post of the Sun. Full ofthe sacred energies, we take a break and have lunch, accompanied by thejoyful music of local Andean musicians and experience traditional soundhealings. After lunch we re-enter the Sanctuary for free time and personalintrospection. Our day ends in the late afternoon as we return to AguasCalientes. Time for a leisurely soak in the local hot springs and dinner onyour own.

Day 8 November 8 or May 8 (B)Sunrise Ceremony at Machu Picchu; Return to Cusco We return to Machu Picchu very early morning for a Sunrise Ceremony, avery auspicious opportunity to greet the sun, just as the Incas did in theancient past. We will gather in an area that is not visited by many tourists.We will await the blessing of Taytay Inti, Father Sun, as He peeks over thesurrounding apus. Open your arms! Open your heart! Receive the healingenergies!

DAY 9 November 9 or May 9 (B)Cusco-Lima We will depart the hotel at 5:30 a.m. for our flight back toLima. Those leaving today will leave the sacred land of Peru rejuvenated,empowered and healed on many levels. After your buffet breakfast, youcheck out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for your one-hour returnflight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be met by our Lima transferpersonnel, and taken to a nearby airport hotel. Free time for lunch and dinner on your own. Late night/early morning international departure.Arrive USA.
